ABOUT RICHARD "PETE" HILL
Richard specializes in leadership, employee engagement, and culture building. He has dedicated himself to staying abreast of cutting-edge approaches to leadership such as cognitive diversity, whole-brain thinking, emotional intelligence, and implicit bias awareness.
Richard's coaching and mentoring approach are based on the 11 Universal Principles of Leadership and he uses the 11 principles to teach his clients that leadership, diversity, and inclusion are inextricably linked. Richard has traveled all over the continental United States, Hawaii, and Alaska teaching critical leadership subjects such as unconscious bias, prevention of bullying, and incivility as well as Equal Employment Opportunity legal requirements. His audiences include senior and mid-level government officials.
Richard has also presented his lectures to Blacks in Government (BIG) as well as various agencies within the federal government.
Richard has a long track record as an effective motivational speaker beginning with his service as an Army Drill Instructor, and culminating with his current position as Director of Diversity with the federal government.
